When a drain is cracked, has a joint that's failed, or has been damaged by root ingress, the traditional fix has always been to dig up the affected section and replace the pipe. Drain relining offers an alternative: a resin liner is inserted into the existing pipe and cured in place, forming a new, structurally sound pipe within the old one. Pinnacle Drains assesses whether relining is a suitable option using CCTV survey footage to understand the exact location, length and severity of the damage. Relining can address cracks, small fractures, displaced joints and some root ingress issues without the excavation, reinstatement and disruption that comes with a full dig-up repair — which matters particularly where a drain runs under a driveway, patio, garden or building. Relining isn't the right answer for every situation — some damage is too severe, or the pipe run isn't suitable — which is why an accurate CCTV assessment beforehand matters.
